Before you continue

Not affiliated with the Government. This tool is an independently operated product. It is not operated, endorsed, sponsored, or affiliated with the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Lands Department, the Development Bureau / Common Spatial Data Infrastructure (CSDI) Portal, the Planning Department, the Town Planning Board, the Buildings Department, or any other government body. Some map layers are sourced from these departments' open data but redistributed via Esri China (Hong Kong) Ltd., a private company — not a government body. References to any government department, dataset, or third-party redistributor only describe where the underlying open data comes from.

Data accuracy. Information shown is derived from Hong Kong Government open data and APIs — including data from the Lands Department, Planning Department / Town Planning Board, and Buildings Department, obtained via the CSDI Portal, DATA.GOV.HK, and Esri China (Hong Kong) Ltd. — provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranty of accuracy, completeness, currency, or fitness for any purpose. It is not official advice and is not a substitute for official government records — always verify anything important directly with the relevant department.

Area figures. Any area shown (marked with a "~", e.g. "~ 560 sq ft") is calculated from the lot's mapped polygon boundary — or, where supplied by the data source, its LOTAREA attribute — and is not a registered area, survey area, or any other official measurement. It is provided for informal reference only and must not be relied upon; the operator accepts no liability for any use of, or reliance on, these figures.

No guarantee of availability. Access to government open data and APIs is outside our control and may change or be withdrawn at any time without notice; this tool may stop working as a result.

Liability and indemnity. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, this tool or the data it displays — and where any liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the subscription fees you've paid for the tool in the past 12 months (see the Terms of Use for the exact wording). You use it entirely at your own risk, and agree to indemnify the operator against any claim arising from your use of it — including any brought by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region or its departments.

You may use this tool for personal or commercial/professional purposes (e.g. in the course of property consultancy, valuation, or surveying work) — the CSDI Portal's and DATA.GOV.HK's own Terms of Use each expressly permit commercial use of their data, subject to attribution and the other conditions set out in the Terms of Use.

Finding lots

The search bar above the map is the quickest way to get started:

Address or building name (e.g. "IFC") finds the location, then automatically fetches the lot under it from the Lands Department's live Lot Index API — surrounding lots are fetched too but only the one you searched for is kept, so the map stays uncluttered.

DD Lot number (e.g. "DD124 Lot50", "DD121 Lot332A") draws that exact lot directly from official government records.

Either way, use "Display Nearby Lot Boundaries" (in the Subject Location popup, or its right-click menu) any time you want the surrounding lots back too.

Map controls

Layers (top-right) switches the base map — HK Lands Dept Topo/Imagery, OpenStreetMap, OpenFreeMap, or Esri Satellite — and toggles the Planning (OZP) and Village Environ overlays.

Rotate — drag the compass icon (bottom-right) to spin the whole map; click it to snap back toward north.

3D tilt — only on the OpenFreeMap layer, drag the "3D" icon (bottom-right, above the compass) up/down to tilt the view; click to toggle between flat and a 45° default. Only OpenFreeMap's own 3D buildings tilt — lot boundaries and markers stay flat.

Building height — on OpenFreeMap, hover any building to read its height in the bottom-right coordinate readout.

Right-click anywhere on the map (not just on a lot) to open that point in Google Maps or Open3Dhk.

Keyboard shortcuts: L toggles lot labels, S toggles Hide Unselected Lots — ignored while typing in a text field.

Rotate, tilt, layers, and right-click actions live on the map itself — click i above for the full list.

Selected Lots

Click a lot on the map to select it (it highlights); click again to deselect. Right-click a lot — or anywhere else on the map — to open that location in Google Maps or Open3Dhk.

Delete all except selected permanently removes every lot you haven't selected.

Use Hide Unselected Lots below, or the Labels and Hide Lots buttons above the map, to change what's shown without deleting anything.

Print

Type or pick a Heading (e.g. "Location Plan", "Lot Index Plan", "Site Plan") to print centered above the map — leave it blank for no heading.

Click Print map above (or your browser's own print/Cmd+P) to open the print dialog. The heading is the only thing you set here; everything else — which lots are shown, current zoom — comes from the map as it looks right now.

Import / Export

Choose or drag in one or more GeoInfo JSON files (the format GeoInfo's own export produces) to draw their lot boundaries on the map.

Export saves whatever's currently loaded/visible as a dated JSON file; Import restores it later.

or drag one or more JSON files here
